The last 48 hours were spent outside, almost entirely, at least it felt that way. Gosh, I love the Spring here. The green grass spurting out in the most unglorious manner, the plastic toys cluttering our front, back and side yards, clashing oh so abruptly with the plain old greys and whites of our house, fence and vehicles, the entire house being coated in a centimeter of soil, tried-to-pick flowers and transported beach sand. Our wisps of hair go from pale to golden. Our feet are perpetually gritty and colored. There is a pile of flip flops by the front door, right next to the pile of sunglasses and the pile of shovels. Our days are no longer planned out for just being alive and in the sunshine is more than we could have ever dreamed. And with my little man in the driving seat and my little lady by his side, don't you just know this is going to be the best Springtime ever.
