One very nice thing to come out of some family sadness is the visiting, unexpectedly, of my dear nieces, J&K. Samara JUST adores them and they are the best of friends. How lucky to have girl cousins the same age. And Sammy has three of them, though at opposite ends of the country from us. Sisters...almost! (She's started asking for one lately, so this'll have to be in lieu of... for...a while!) I watched the four kiddos yesterday so their parents could have some quiet, reflective time in hospice. They are so sweet together, particularly in their matching Gap jackets (thanks to another cousin who basically runs the place) and I couldn't help but snap a pic or two.
