A little breath of New England beauty

Yesterday we went to Halibut Point, a stunning National Park with a few miles of trails and unbelievable views and lookouts. If you have never been, go! If you are coming to visit us, make us take you! It is the perfect place to go with kids and a camera!

We are still 100% addicted to the Baby Bjorn, without a doubt, in my opinion, the one baby essential! Samara has loved it since she was six weeks old (and we were brave enough to use it) and we still use it every day and she is 12.5 months now! We'll be taking it to Miami with us in a couple of weeks and hope she stays as happy in as she has all this time. She is so close to walking now. In fact, just a minute ago, we were having great fun as she dared take a giant step handless towards us and then ran through the kitchen holding just one of my hands. She loves kicking the soccer ball around, while holding hands, and all other activities involving high energy and the outdoors. Swinging is a daily joy, and today we christened the paddling pool which was a great hit. She loves her Little Tikes car to no end and the bike rides are great fun, now that she's used to her helmet! We've been lucky enough to get some good hand-me-down toys otherwise we'd be penniless! It's so fun to have toys that are actually fun :) Today Steve and I played Matthew and Daddy in tennis, something we've been doing about once a week since summer started. Matthew's team (no matter who is his partner) always wins, but Samara is always so dear in cheering on whichever side Steve or I am on, especially. She is very content (for about one and a half sets) to watch us and play with little gadgets by the side of the court in the shade. After just a few days of breathtaking sunshine and cloudless skies, it's hard to remember it ever rained, hard to believe the summer will ever end...
